Q: What's the history of Prescott?
A: Prescott was the original Territorial Capitol. In 2012, Prescott celebrated its Centennial. It is a town with surrounding communities totaling 100,000. The Famous (or infamous) Whiskey Row still exists, with some of the bars which have kept their original bar tables & ceilings in many of the buildings along Whiskey Row & Downtown have their original hammered , tin ceilings. Or tour the Sharlott Hall Museum where visitors step back 100 years & re-live the life of the time.

Q: What is the climate like?
A: Prescott is the "mile hi" city with the same elevation as Denver. Its climate varies from temps in the 90s in the summer to 20s in the winter. Yes, we do get snow, but it does not last throughout the winter months. Prescott also enjoys the largest contiguous Ponderosa Pine Forest in North America!

Q: What is there to do?
A: For the outdoors-types, there are 100s of miles of trails close to Prescott. Trails which incorporate the magnificent forests, Granite Mountain, Thumb Butte, and 4 of Prescott's lakes. There are also historic "walking tours" which go to many of the Victorian -renovated houses & Bed & Breakfasts, as well as the "haunted tours" which are incredible & visit many of the haunted hotels in Prescott.
A: For the night-lifers, there are more than 15 art galleries, restaurants and bars with live music , from alternative jazz to rock to country. Visitors are a short-drive away from Historic Jerome (an old mining town), and the magnificent red rock country of Sedona.
